BONHAMS AUCTIONS - BRITISH COOL
One of the highlights of this year already will be the Bonhams auction of British Cool. Which will take place at their New Bond Street Showroom (Covid permitting we presume) in February. It will be a splendid collection of British Pop culture from the 1950's to now. Sir Gordon will certainly try and get there..
KINTSUGI INSPIRED -BIRCH HOTEL
Sir Gordon loves the Japanese art of Kintsugi (the art of fixing broken pottery with gold to give it more meaning). And the Birch Hotel have taken that even further by creating a whole hotel with that ethos. They call the hotel a community and when open runs some amazing craftsmanship workshops.

THOMAS CRAPPER - POLISHED BRASS CISTERN
Toilet goals are not something Sir Gordon aspires too but we have fallen head over heels in love with this brass cistern from Thomas Crapper. Hand made in Britain and it take 5 hours of polishing to achieve the desired finish. Fancy.
BETH MOON - MESSUMS MUSUEM
With lockdown hurting our beloved museums and art galleries, we should all try and visit them virtually to help them survive. One of the finest museums Sir Gordon knows is Messums in Wiltshire. And they have what looks like a brilliant online exhibition by Beth Moon called 'Oaks of England'. A photographic exploration of the most famous oak trees around Britain.
GRESGARTH HALL GARDENS
On a gentler note. Nowness have created a wonderful film with landscape designer Arabella Lennox-Boyd, as she takes us around the gardens of her Lancashire home. Splendid thought that spring is on its way.
