Design & Inspiration: ‘Tennis Passion’ is a stylish and unique full-size pocket square in silk and has been created in collaboration with contemporary French artist Miki de Goodaboom. She loves to paint everything, with every technique from traditional through to digital and sometimes mixing them all. Miki particularly enjoys sporting art with its challenges of capturing movement as well as time and space in two-dimensional form. Above all else, Miki’s painting reflects her life, in particular the use of vibrant colours expressing her passion for life. Miki’s original is a mixed media/mixed technique artwork. ‘Tennis Passion’ was inspired by Grand Slam tennis and the individual fight of the players, both mentally and physically, to get over the line, often distilled into that one shot, the one that matters.
The artwork is reproduced with a good balance of colour between the printed and reverse sides of the silk pocket square so works perfectly with any pocket square fold. The image is framed by the pocket square’s turquoise border and purple hand-rolled & hand-sewn hem. Tennis Passion' is presented in a complimentary Otway & Orford branded gift box with its blueberry-coloured lid and pale blue base. Inside each box, the high-quality tennis silk pocket square is tissue-wrapped and accompanied by a card telling the story of the artist and her vibrant artwork.
