Handcrafted British Made Footwear
From small beginnings to the present day, NPS Shoes has lived a product defining history. Proud of their heritage and how over a century of experience in factory surroundings has shaped their outlook, processes and work ethic to make them a great example of British craftsmanship.
In an attempt to impose some regularity to their income in 1881, five men living in the village of Wollaston banded together to form a co-operative (a company owned and run by the people working in it) called the Northamptonshire Productive Society (NPS). Known locally as ‘the Duffers’ their premises was a dove house in Thrift Street. Luck was with them from the outset as they managed to secure a year long production order from the Government for army boots.
Nowadays NPS craft beautiful shoes that are designed to not only be timeless but also last a lifetime.
