Small Bronze Bark Hoop Earrings
4 in stock
These graceful earrings are cast from the bark of a Hawthorne tree – a staple of the British countryside that supports life for over 300 species. The hoops are made from bronze, and are finished with a 9ct gold post and butterfly back.
The left and right hoops are cast from different pieces of bark that were chosen for their naturally complementary patterns and shapes. They are slightly different, in other words - a delightful detail that reveals itself on closer inspection.
Like all of Issy White’s jewellery on SirGordonBennett, these bronze earrings are the result of countless hours spent searching in British woodland for Nature’s wonders. Issy ‘forages’ for the organic shapes produced by our flora and fauna, then turns them into eye-catching pieces using a process known as lost wax casting. Once the shape has been captured in metal, she works on it in her studio on the edge of Epping Forest, accentuating its natural beauty and gently forming it to fit the human body.
